We are still here. The blog, however, hasn't seen the light of day in a while. I don't know what we've been doing, but updating the blog isn't one of them. Hold on to your butts - There will be a few new posts!
Toward the end of January, I took some old school "chair" photos of the boys. There is nothing that can make me teary and more than a little sentimental than comparing photos. Sniff.
Beckham was close to one here, maybe 10-11 months old.
And then BAM! Practically teenagers.
This photo on the bottom makes me smile. Here they are, together looking at a photo book that happens to be flipped to a photo of them in the same chair. When did they get so big?
They are both doing great! Cayden and Beckham are both picking up more Portuguese. Beckham likes to yell out the window as we drive through the gate, "Oi! Tudo Bem! (Hi, How are you?)" Cayden can pronounce Páscoa (Easter) like a Brasilian. They both love school - Beckham shares toys, is nice to other kids, has trouble focusing for longer periods of time (he's 2.5), loves art, can count to 15, knows most colors and shapes. Cayden is reading really well, doing some simple math, gets along with everyone, but has some really good friends, he likes to make up stories and recently illustrated his first book.
Cayden continues speech therapy once a week, as well as swim lessons. We are working on getting Beckham to swim without floaties, but it's a hard battle. Summer will be coming to a close here in Brasil, and while the weather is generally lovely - fall and winter bring cooler temperatures. We are definitely looking forward to summer in Arkansas!
